Prestigious. Tough. Legendary. Epic biking. Punishing climbs. Screaming descents. And nail-biting drama. The Alpes is often where the Tour champion is made! In 2012 we are offering you the opportunity to experience the raw beauty of the French Alps and ride some of the historic routes of tours past. Phil Anderson has hand picked a range of rides giving you the chance to test your mettle just before the pros arrive. Being based in one location, there is plenty of opportunity to savour the scenery and local culture, enjoy the local hospitality of our hosts in our charming lodging and of course sip a fine glass or two of French wine and of course enjoy the World’s greatest Bike Race!
Please note : we provide vehicle support on all rides however this is not sag wagon support. This tour is designed for the more independent rider who is seeking to conquer some of the great climbs and rides of the Tour de France. We will interact with Le Tour for the the passage of Stage 11 as it passes over Col de la Croix de Fer and the passage of Stage 12 as it passes over Col du Granier. We will also be seeking to ride the Pas de la Cle (Vercors) 1623m, the Col de la Croix Perrin 1218m, the Col d’Ornon 1367m, Col du’Coq 1738m, Col de Porte 2082m and the Alpe d’Huez 1850m with Phil.
