In 30 of the most intense, relentless and high-pressure laps contested in the 50-year history of the Great Race, Jamie Whincup held off attack after attack from David Reynolds to win his fourth Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 in 2012.
Whincup won by just 0.3s after the final five laps saw the two streak away from the field as they battled for the win.
The battle was clean but will be remembered by more than 57,000 people in attendance, as one of the best in Bathurst’s history.
Who will claim the Peter Brock Trophy in 2013?
