One week before you head off …

Meet us in Melbourne for a pre-tour function at Windy Hill. Meet and greet your Special Guest Escort and Sportsnet Tour Leader.

Day 1 – SATURDAY 21ST APRIL

Welcome to Istanbul, where you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

Tonight, meet your Local Tour Guide, Sportsnet tour leader, Jason Johnson and the rest of your group with a Welcome drink.

Overnight: Istanbul        

Day 2 – SUNDAY 22ND APRIL (B,D)

Istanbul old city 

After breakfast, you enjoy a fully guided tour of the only city to span two continents, visiting the Blue Mosque, the Aya Sofya, Topkapi Palace and the Hippodrome. Spend some time visiting the world famous Grand Bazaar. Tonight you get to know your travelling companions a little better and enjoy some Turkish cuisine at your welcome dinner.

Day 3 – MONDAY 23RD April – (B,L)

Gallipoli Peninsula, Battlefields & Memorials

Depart for the Gallipoli peninsula early morning and tour this now serene site. Visiting original trenches and tunnels and ANZAC Cove, Lone Pine Australian Memorial, Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial, Johnston’s Jolly and The Nek. Also visit the Turkish Memorial  Mehmetcik Abide, before a short ferry ride across the Dardanelles.

Day 4 – TUESDAY 24th APRIL (B,L)

ANZAC Eve

Optional extra- Day tour visit the archaeological ruins of Troy.                                                                            
Optional extra- Morning cruise to see battlefields from the sea.

Your morning is free to explore or rest, prior to an early afternoon lunch, then an afternoon departure for ANZAC Cove.

Day 5 – WEDNESDAY 25th APRIL (D)

ANZAC Day at Gallipoli

At the ANZAC Dawn Service we will commemorate our fallen forefathers on this special day. We also attend the Australian Memorial service before returning to our Exclusive venue to watch the Anzac Day clash between Essendon and Collingwood. Dress to impress as there will be prizes for best & worst outfits!

Overnight: Cannakale

Day 6 – THURSDAY 26th APRIL (B, D)

Istanbul, Bosphorous Cruise

Today we have a late morning departure back to Istanbul. This afternoon you will experience Istanbul with a waterfront view on an afternoon cruise of the Bosphorous. Evening Farewell Group Dinner.

Day 7 – FRIDAY 27th APRIL (B)

Istanbul

Optional extra - Half Day tour of New City of Istanbul, including Carpet weaving demonstration to learn how the carpets are made by hand and what determines their value.     
Optional Extra night in Istanbul - enjoy a day of relaxation and explore this bustling metropolis. 

Return flight to Australia from Istanbul .

      Holy Crap Craig! I'm about to make up a new word 'FANTABULOUS' What an experience! The hotel was out of this world. Wish I could have taken bed home with me, plus everything else. Great staff, great service, can't stop raving about it. Tennis great. We had first row of Sportsnet block on Sat night which was about 5 rows from front. Saw Stoser get beaten and Tomic lose, but what a guy to watch for the future. Sunday also great. Saw the great Roger in action. Just amazing. Little ""hic cup"" coming home. Some bright spark at Melb. airport decided to shut second runway for repairs. With Tennis, Cricket & Magic Millions Poker on was a good time to do it! Why they could not do that during curfew I don't know, but better safety than sorry. Thanks for everything. I believe you got some other bookings because of our recommendations, and you will get more next year. Again thanks a million. Bianca
